This Business Web Site Construction pack makes it very easy for you to create and manage your own web site or on-line business.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before installing this software application, please ensure that your computer meets the following requirements to run the software:

Internet Explorer version 6 or better
Required Installation Steps
1. Please close any programs you may have open. It is always recommended that you back up important information on your computer before installing any new software. Insert the provided installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive and the installation program will auto-start.
2. (Note: If the auto-start feature has been disabled on your computer, please double-click the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop. Then double-click the CD-ROM drive you placed the eD.I.Y. CD-ROM into, and double-click the SETUP icon to start the installation.)
3. Click 'Next >' on the welcome screen to display the eDIY Software Terms and Conditions. Please read the Terms and Conditions completely. You will need to click 'Yes' to continue the installation.
4. Choose the location you would like to install eDIY Software. The default location should be accepted unless there is not enough space on this disk.
5. Click 'Next >' to accept the default start menu folder.
6. Click 'Install' to begin the copying of files from the CD-ROM to your computer's hard disk drive.
7. When the installation has completed, you may be asked to re-start your computer. Please do so if required, otherwise continue to the next section of this Quickstart Guide.
STARTING THE PROGRAM FOR THE FIRST TIME
An eD.I.Y. Software icon has been added to your desktop. Double-click this icon to launch the application.
The software first checks if you have the required software installed on your computer. If there is anything missing or out of date, the software will prompt you with installation or upgrade options. Please follow any instructions and double-click the eD.I.Y. Software icon again if your
system had to be re-started.
If an Internet connection has not been established, you will be asked to connect using the Windows Dialup Networking.
If you have any problems starting or using the application, please refer to our web site under the support option for up to date installation and troubleshooting instructions.
The Sign-up Wizard
The software will detect if you have never used it on your computer before and will ask you to create a Site Profile on the eD.I.Y. Servers. The Name and Address information you give in this wizard will be publicly accessible on your new web site.
You also select your eDIY Username and Password in this wizard. This is the login information you need to use every time you want to make changes to your web site.
Site Type
The wizard will also ask you what type of site you want to create. Select From:
- Create an on-line web store
A fully featured on-line web site and product catalogue for retailers and wholesalers with shopping cart and secure multi-currency credit card verification. Includes Shop 100 or Shop 1000 30-day hosting from first use.
- Create a standard web site
Best suited for service-based businesses, this product is used to create a full web site in minutes. Includes 30 day hosting for the Page 100 plan from first use. If you're a home user or hobbyist who wants to
run a personal or club web site, the Home 20 plan is our entry-level, non-business hosting option.
Both types have the following features:
Member only sites (individually password protected), Search Engines, Easy Template Interface, Bulk e-mailing and member management, content publishing and linking, Picture wizard integrates with your scanning and camera software and allows photo touch-ups and easy upload.
Automatic FREE Software Upgrades
There is an automatic check for a software upgrade whenever the application is started. If an upgrade is available, the software displays a dialog informing you of any additions or changes available in the upgrade.
A traffic light icon indicates the importance of the upgrade. A red light indicates that the upgrade must be performed because of structural changes or other important reasons, while the orange and green lights indicate that the upgrade contains minor feature enhancements or bug fixes.
Click on the 'Upgrade' button to download the latest version of the software, or if the light is orange or green you may choose to skip the upgrade.
Logging into your Web Site
Use the login name and password you selected in the account creation wizard, and click the 'Login' button.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed the eDIY Software Business Web Site Construction Kit. You can now manage your web site and easily develop your on-line presence. An email sent to your address will confirm your details and provide you the location of your new web site.
At any time during the evaluation period you can register a domain with us and select a hosting plan that suits your requirements.

If a connection has been established successfully, you can send us a message using the 'Help -> Contact eDIY Software Support &' menu. This will forward us your message and an error log file that contains the text of the error and other useful information that will help us fix any
issues with the software.
